Deal announcement: Kingsbrook is pleased to have advised on the sale of The Climbing Gym Ltd, trading as Bloc Climbing, to Flashpoint.

Bloc Climbing is an indoor bouldering centre, based in Bristol, offering multiple activities and services, and a leading health and safety ethos, which has resulted in a large, highly loyal customer base. The business provides a bouldering wall, Clip ‘n Climb facility, café, conference facilities and a shop, and prides itself on its weekly route setting capabilities that continually challenge its regular climbers.

Flashpoint is a large bouldering gym in the heart of Bristol, at the heart of the Bristol climbing scene. Flashpoint has a strong growth strategy: the company has also expanded into Swindon and Wales.

Glen Mallaby, a director at Kingsbrook, and Lead Advisor for the deal said:

“We’re thrilled to have assisted our clients Paul and Susan in the sale of Bloc Climbing. They have spent many years building a strong and profitable business, and we are happy to have been able to help them move into their new chapter. We were equally delighted to work with the shareholders of Flashpoint in adding another climbing centre to their growing portfolio.”
