Selling your business

What is your business worth? Answer 10 quick questions below to receive an indicative valuation of your company.

Step 1 of 3

33%

Valuation Questionnaire

This questionnaire asks 10 simple questions to provide an indicative valuation range for your business, along with an explanation of how that value has been derived. Valuation is not an exact science. In reality, Value is driven by buyer demand, strategic fit, and future potential - meaning outcomes can vary significantly in a live process

This tool is designed to give you a useful starting point, helping you understand what your business could be worth and the key factors that influence that value.

What type of sale are you seeking?
How involved are the current owners in day-to-day operations?
Which sector best described your business?
What is your company's annual revenue?
What percentage of your revenue is contracted or recurring?
What is your company's annual net profit before tax?
Roughly how many active customers account for 80% of your sales?
What has your revenue trend been over the last 3 years?
How would you describe your market position?
How scalable are your operations?

Understand your valuation range

Based on your responses, we have calculated an indicative valuation using a profit multiple, the most common method used by buyers when assessing owner-managed businesses.

In practice, the multiple achieved will depend on buyer motivation, strategic fit, and the level of competition. A key part of Kingsbrook’s role is to create that competitive tension to maximise value.

The final outcome can also be influenced by:

Net cash or debt: Cash typically adds to value, debt reduces it

Property: Included property is usually added to the valuation

Working capital: Adjustments may be made depending on the level at completion

This valuation should be viewed as a guide. A more precise outcome depends on a detailed understanding of the business and, ultimately, how the market responds.
